Dr. Dustin Gentry along with his family, enjoyed participating in “Safety Town” on Saturday. Safety Town is an annual event put on by the Pilot Club of Louisville. The event is geared to teach children safety and health topics.
Dr. Gentry set up a booth with a poster titled, “First Aid for Kids” and also had a variety of goodies. He spent the day with our community educating children of different ages. “When the children came by I was able to teach them about important first aid principles that were age appropriate. This included cuts, burns, bug bites, fever, choking, and calling 911 for an ambulance. The older kids really liked learning how to do the Heimlich Maneuver. Some of the parents even joined in to ask some questions themselves. We really had a good time. I’d like to thank my wife for helping me with the poster and Mrs. Bettie Glass, Pilot Member, for inviting me, says Dr. Dustin Gentry.
