Winston Medical Center is joining the rest of the country celebrating National Nursing Home week. This year’s theme is, “The Spirit of America.”  Nursing Homes across the country are celebrating this week in honor of their staff and residents.

“Our Residents always look forward to this week where they celebrate all week long.  They take pride in their home and this year they have more reasons than ever to celebrate,” said Fran Misso, Director of Nurses.

Winston Medical Center Senior Care Services kicked off the week with a balloon launch and with Mayor Will Hill signing a proclamation.  “It’s really about the spirit of the week, bringing the community into the nursing home, doing special events throughout the week and showing our appreciation to our staff and residents,” said Lacey Vowell, Senior Care Services Administrator.
